Wow!! The 2010 season has just ended and we're already getting inquiries about when everything is up and running for the 2011 season!
We'd like to send out a big congratulations to everyone who trained, competed or accomplished one of their goals over the past season. Overall we've had an excellent year of training and weather. We hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy it fully! At the time of writing this two of our members are competing at the ITU Olympic Distance World Championships in Budapest. Results haven't been posted yet for their races, but good luck to Jim Munro and Melanie LeClaire!
New for 2011: For the past couple of seasons, the team board has been slowly working on ways to improve member communication. We've evolved from a Website, to an easier to update blog site with SMS. As of today Tribalistic Triathlon Team has a group Facebook page. This page is available for Facebook members to request membership to. Once a member, privacy settings are restricted to members only for all site activity, be it posting comments, photos or video. We know there are lots of cool things happening for our members, that others aren't aware of. Please feel free to share your experiences with others and just maybe inspire someone else to try something new. We're hoping that Facebook will enable more timely communication for all members and make team networking a little more easy if someone is planning to head out for a last minute ride on a weekend and would enjoy some company.
Our start date for the 2011 season is currently slated for the first week of November, with the first workout taking place on November 2nd. Between now and then the Team will be hosting the 2010 AGM and electing a board for the 2011 season. We'll communicate this event as soon as details are available!
Once the 2011 board has been finalized all the training details for the 2011 season can be finalized and will be shared with all members.
In the meantime, if you haven't been to the Triathlon Manitoba Website in the past while, the Triathlon Manitoba AGM and Awards banquet will be hosted at the Belair Country Club on September 18th.
