Trail Run Clinic and Glorious Send-Offs

What a glorious night! The final summer night in July couldn't have wrapped up any sweeter. Tribe club members joined Dwayne Sandall and Natalie Duhamel from Trail Run Manitoba for a trail run clinic out at Garbage Hill. Trail Run Manitoba offers two group workouts per week, one on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at various urban trails, and the other Sunday morning at trails across the province.

You might be wondering who the new guy is in the photo above... Meet new club member Taren Gesell who plans to officially join the Tribe in the Fall. Taren has been participating in organized Tribe workouts for the past couple of months and has been competing in triathlons. His last race was Kenora-which I understand he performed awesome. Welcome Taren!

The evening wrapped up at Eva's Gelato on Corydon where we had the opportunity to wish Melanie Leclair a warm send-off as she and Ryan Roiselle head west to get hitched. Club members were on hand to present Mel with a gift and card.

St Malo Race Committee Wrap-Up Meeting

On Thursday, July 26th Tribe members involved with coordinating and planning the St Malo MultiSport Weekend gathered at the Graham's residence for a post-event meeting. Many committee members sent RSVP's due to summer plans/holidays but we still had a great showing at the meeting. Those unable to make it forwarded reports which as a committee we were able to review and discuss. Minutes were taken at the meeting and club members who are interested in learning more about highlights, lessons learned and plans for next year can request a copy of the minutes from Chris Graham. Alternatively, feel free to connect with a smiling race committee member in the picture provided below...(if you can figure out who is who!).

RIDING MOUNTAIN TRIATHLON

Alright Tribalistic, it's time to show our strength!  Bring on the mighty blue and yellow!

What have we been training for all year long? (mmm, is it checkers....NO!). A TRIATHLON!!

Riding Mountain Triathlon has been the largest race in the province for as long as it's been a part of the Triathlon Manitoba Grand Prix Series.  Let's show up on August 18th and show them all what Tribalistic is all about...or at least show up, have a great race and celebrate together!

Sprint or Olympic, it doesn't matter.  Still 5 weeks of training time to get back on track if you've been enjoying our hot summer start a bit too much.

Wednesday night bikes are still on to help you meet your goals. Check the google calendar link for times and locations.

I've started us off by making sure I'm registered (broken rib or not!), and booking a camp site in the Wasagaming Campground (Site 383 if you want to keep me up the night before, or come and say hi the night after the race).  Book your site now to be sure you can be near the rest or the Tribe (or on the other side of the park).

For race or training related questions email ppeacock at shaw.ca

Good luck in any and all races between now and RMT!!
